왕초보영어 : 일상-해고(상사의 말이 틀린건 아니지)

이런, 그건 옳지 않지. 상사가 무슨 말이라도 했어?

음, 넌 좀 게으르긴 하잖아.

   for no reason = 아무 이유 없이 <=> for a reason = 다 이유가 있어서

   She pinched me for no reason.

   They quit for no reason.

   I quit my job for a reason.

   right = (형) 옳은 / 맞는 <=> wrong = (형) 잘못된 / 틀린

   Did (주어) (동사원형) ? = (주어)가 (동사원형) 했니?

   Did you check your bag?

   Did she push you?

   Man = 이런 / 어휴 (긍정 또는 부정)

 

 

M He said I was lazy. But I'm not !

   I'm not ! = I'm not lazy !

   (주어) said + (평서문:과거형) = (주어)가 (과거형) 이라고 말했어

   She said you were mad.

   You said you were there.

 

Z Well, You are kind of lazy.

   well = 음 / 뭐

   kind of = 약간 / 좀 = sort of

   She is kind of annoying.

   This is kind of confusing.

   I'm kind of hungry.

Did (주어) (동사원형) ? = (주어)가 (동사원형) 했니?

   complain = 불평하다 / 항의하다 vs complaint = 불평 / 항의

   noisy = 시끄러운 = loud  vs noise = (명사) 소음

Did you move your bags?

   right = (형) 옳은 / 맞는 <=> wrong = (형) 잘못된 / 틀린

   Man = 이런 / 어휴 (긍정 또는 부정)

(주어) Say + (평서문) = (주어)가 그러는데 (평서문) 이래.

(주어) said + (평서문:과거형) = (주어)가 (과거형) 이라고 말했어

Kind of. = 좀 / 약간 / 뭐, 대충 / 좀, / 대충, / 그런 셈이죠.

kind of = 약간 / 좀 = sort of
