   present = 선물(= 단독) vs gift(= 포괄적, gift shop)

   birthday boy = 생일 주인공(남) vs birthday girl = 생일 주인공(여)

   Get (명사) + for (목적어) = (목적어)에게 (명사)를 사주다

   = Get (목적어) + (명사)

   I get a gift card for him = I get him a gift card.

   Did you get something for your son? = Did you get your son something?

   I got something for you. = I got you something.

 

Z I bought him a new game.

   game = 게임

   Buy (목적어) + (명사) = (목적어)에게 (명사)를 사주다

   = Buy (명사) + for (목적어)

   She bought me dinner. = She bought dinner for me.

   Let me buy you lunch. = Let me buy lunch for you.

   buy me lunch = buy lunch for me

   = I told you to get a book for him.

   get = 사주다 / 가져다주다

   I told you + (동사원형) = 내가 (동사원형) 하라고 했잖아

   sure = 분명히 ~일 것인 / 확신하는

   Like (목적어) better = (목적어)를 더 좋아하다 / 더 마음에 들어 하다

   jewelry = 보석류(셀 수 없음)  vs  jewel = 보석/장신구=gam(셀 수 있음)

   = Let me buy lunch for you.

   buy me lunch = buy lunch for me
