전 EBS에서 일해요.  세일즈맨으로 일하죠.

오, 저도 거기서 일하곤 했어요 !

진짜요?  이런 우연이 !

전 마케팅 부서에서 일했어요 !

 

I work for EBS. I work there as a salesman.

   salesman  vs  saleswoman  vs  salesperson

   as (명사) = (명사)로 / (명사) 로서

   I am working as a model.

   I am telling you this as your father.

   work for (명사 = 장소 / 사람)  vs work at (명사 = 장소)

 

Z Oh, I used to work there, too !

   used to (동사원형) = (동사원형) 하곤 했다(=지금은 하지 않음)

   I used to live in Hanam.

   She used to be quiet.

 

 

M Really?  What are the odds !

   odds = 가능성

   what are the odds = 이런 우연이 ! / 정말 우연이네요 !

   = what are the chances !

   No way !  What are the odds !

   Are you serious?  What are the odds !

 

Z I worked in the marketing department !

   department = 부서

   work + in the (명사) department = (명사) 부서에서 일하다.

   I work in the accounting department !

   She works in the sales department !

 

Q 난 손 모델로 일하고 있어.

   I am working as a hand model.

Used to (동사원형) = (동사원형) 하곤 했다(=지금은 하지 않음)

   best friend = bestie = BFF(Best Friend Forever)

She used to play with dolls.

We used to be co-workers.

We used to hang out every weekend.

She used to be quiet.

 

Work = 일하다 / 직장에 다니다 / 일 / 직장 / 직업 / 업무 / 직무

at Work = 회사에서 / 회사에 있는

How was your day at work?

I was busy at work.

Are you still at work?

 

Work + in the (명사) department = (명사) 부서에서 일하다.

I worked in the marketing department !

   department = 부서

I work in the accounting department !

She works in the sales department !

 

Worked up = 흥분한(부정적)  <=>  excited = 흥분한(신나서)

I'm sorry I was worked up before.

My borther was really worked up.

She seems worked up.

 

Have work to do = 할 일이 있다.

I can't.  I have work to do.

I have work -> I have work to do.

We have work to do.

She has too much work to do.
