Keep, Kind, Know/Knew

Keep (~ing) = 계속 (~ing) 하다.

   keep on (~ing) > keep (~ing)

Don't be so weak ! Keep running !

   weak = 약한  <=>  strong = 강한

I kept falling.

Keep moving your arms.

keep on ignoring > keep ignoring

Keep running !

Keep walking !

Keep working.

She kept ignoring us.

   ignore = 모른 체 하다

The kids keep kicking my seat.

   kick = (발로) 차다

Why do you keep coughing?

Why do you keep ignoring my texts?

   ignore = 무시하다 / 모른 체하다

   ignore someone(= 못 알아보다)  vs  look down someone(= 무시하다 / 깔보다)

   text = text message

 

 

Keep it down = 소음을 줄이다 / 조용히 하다 = quiet down

Could you keep it down?

   promise = 약속하다

We had to keep it down.

 

Keep in touch = 연락하고 지내다

   dude = buddy = 친구

Kind of = 좀 / 약간 / 뭐, 대충 / 좀, / 대충, / 그런 셈이죠.

kind of (형용사) = 약간 / 좀 (형용사) 한 = sort of
